Sagamore Receives New York State Funding to Renovate Chalet Building
In December of 2015, Sagamore received its own Christmas present: news that we were awarded a $251,950 grant from New York State to rehabilitate the Chalet building in the Upper Complex of camp, and to plan for a new generation of tours and interpretation at the site.
The grant will fund ongoing efforts to combine the Gift Shop and Cafe into one space, develop a new interpretive program area, and reconfigure bathrooms to make them both handicap-accessible and energy efficient.
The grant requires a dollar-for-dollar match, which means that every dollar donated to Sagamore for this project will be matched by New York State. Please help Sagamore meet its goals and contribute today!
