Simply Sagamore Weekends Spend your weekend in a quiet setting, exploring the grounds, reading books on the boat dock, and just about whatever else you want. The weekend is yours! Complimentary W.W. Durant scenic cruise is available to all guests - inquire at the Office for your ticket. Cost is $398 per person for the weekend, lodging and meals are included (choose from dates listed below). Paddle Making Weekends Make your own wooden canoe paddle during this weekend stay at our historic lodge. Expert boat builder Pat Smith will teach participants how to make a canoe paddle using good ol' fashioned tools (spoke shaves, planers), explain how to varnish it at home, and divulge a lot of historic boat building/paddle making information! All-inclusive cost is $495 per person (lodging, all meals, paddle making supplies and instruction). Limited to six participants. Wellness Weekends A weekend of all things good for you! Classes and instruction in yoga, sound healing, mindful meditation, herbal walks and herbal uses for your health, nature immersion, and healthy meals. Pick the activities that best meet your needs, and soak in the beautiful location of Great Camp Sagamore. Herbals, Foraging, or Outdoor Skills Weekends Weekends spent in the outdoors - no better place than in the middle of the Adirondack mountains! Our Herbals and Foraging weekend focus on identifying common plants and herbs, and learning to use them in your everyday teas and meals. Participants will walk and find locally growing herbs and plants and learn how they help our bodies. The group will forage and collect some of the plants to add to our dinner in the evening. Our Outdoor Skills weekend will focus on learning basic skills for camping, hiking, setting up tents, and cooking in the outdoors. Although designed for beginners, anyone looking to hone their skills is welcome to attend! Cost for either weekend program is $440 per person, and includes lodging, all meals, and all program workshops and supplies. June 1-3, 2018 - Sagamore Trails Weekend Work on adjacent trail systems to develop connecting links from Sagamore to other passing trails. Members only. Downton in the Mountains - Vanderbilt Weekend
September 28-30, 2018 Celebrate your weekend with Gilded Age food, drink and history! Throughout history as the Vanderbilt's wilderness retreat, Sagamore was known as a place where guests could enjoy the beauty of the region and have all the comforts of home. Come for this weekend of fine dining and explore the history of America's Gilded Age in one of the most authentic locations possible while enjoying camp activities. Our weekend includes a wine pairing for Saturday evening's dinner, and our chefs will prepare special meals based on historical research. Staff will lead tours of the camp, as well as nature walks to the sites of many of Sagamore's outlying buildings. All inclusive fee of $440 per person includes 2-night double occupancy lodging, all meals and the Vanderbilt wine pairing dinner, and all weekend activities.
